What You Share With Me Directly

When you reach out — whether through a contact form, open house sign-in, home valuation request, appointment booking, or a text or call to my business line — I collect what you share: your name, email, phone number, and details about your real estate needs.

What I Learn From How You Use My Website

When you search for homes on my site, I see what you’re looking for — price range, neighborhoods, property type, which listings you save and revisit. This isn’t just data to me. It helps me understand what you actually need so I can serve you better, not just blast you with irrelevant listings.

  • Properties viewed, saved, and inquired about
  • Search criteria and filters you use
  • Pages visited on my website
  • Device type, browser, and IP address
  • How you found my site (referral source, ad, search engine)

Call and Text Records

Calls to and from my business numbers may be recorded for quality and training purposes. Text conversations are logged as part of your client record. Call recordings are transcribed and analyzed to help me follow up accurately and improve how my team communicates.

California residents: You will be informed at the start of any recorded call. Continuing the call means you consent to the recording.


How I Use Your Information

Everything I do with your information is in service of helping you buy, sell, or understand your home’s value. Specifically:

I do not use your information to make automated decisions about you without human review, and I do not build advertising profiles to sell to third parties.

When you hire me to represent you, I share necessary details with the professionals required to close your transaction — co-operating agents, escrow, title, lenders, inspectors. Only what’s needed, only with who needs it.

I use trusted services to run my business. Each is under contract to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to me:

  • Showcase IDX — property search and MLS data

I may disclose information when required by law, court order, or the California Department of Real Estate.


Text Messaging

By sharing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS and MMS messages from Xavier Williams Real Estate. I use texting as a fast, convenient way to share listings, confirm appointments, and keep you in the loop — not to spam you.

  • Closed transaction records — minimum 3 years (required by California DRE)
  • Call recordings — up to 1 year
  • Marketing contacts — until you opt out

Security

My systems use encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure storage, and strict access controls. I take data security seriously — but no system is 100% impenetrable, and I won’t pretend otherwise. What I can promise is that I treat your information the way I’d want mine treated.


Updates to This Policy

If I make material changes, I’ll notify active clients by email. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of my services after changes means you’ve accepted the updated policy.
